
On November 22, 2024, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) member states approved the adoption of the Riyadh Design Law Treaty (Treaty), aimed at simplifying and streamlining the process of protecting creative designs internationally.
The Treaty’s primary goal is to make the design registration process more accessible for designers, particularly for Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs), thereby encouraging innovation in global design industries.
